We'll be spending our first five nights at a picturesque hotel on the shore of the Lakes of Killarney. The hotel has lovely rooms, a restaurant and a pub, as well as a health spa.
While in the Killarney area we'll explore Killarney National Park and its beautiful surroundings, which include the Muckross Manor House and Gardens and the impressive Torc waterfall. We'll take a trip to the wild, yet serene, Beara Peninsula, walk the Gap of Dunloe and take a boat ride through the Lakes of Killarney. A visit to some ancient stone circles and holy wells also make the tour around this area memorable.
Our next stop is the ever-beautiful Dingle Peninsula for two nights. While in Dingle we will stay at a charming guesthouse, which is a popular favorite of the women from our previous tours. Situated in a perfect location -- on the waterfront and in walking distance of Dingletown, with lovely rooms and friendly hosts who prepare a breakfast that is exceptional.
During our stay in Dingle we'll tour the peninsula and many of the unique places of interest along Slea Head Drive. We'll spend some time at Inch Beach and enjoy "free time" visiting Dingle’s seaside town and all it has to offer.
Our last stop will be in County Clare. Here we'll stay at a beautifully decorated 4-star guesthouse. Located in the heart of the mystical village of Bunratty, where there is a variety of old world pubs and craft shops.
While we’re in this area we’ll spend a day at the Bunratty Castle visiting the Gardens and the Village, as well as enjoying an evening medieval banquet at the Castle. We’ll also visit a popular tourist destination, the Cliffs of Moher; tour the Burren and other special places of interest.
Please Note: In order to enjoy some of the exceptional places we'll be visiting, such as hiking the Gap of Dunloe and other various explorations, walking is required. (At the Gap of Dunloe, a pony and cart is also an option.) We want you to know that this journey is not a sports event. We'll be walking at a comfortable pace for all, and if you would rather not participate in some of the activities that we have planned, you're not required to do so.
